My name is Fran Martinez, I was a candidate of the Santa Fe Professional Business Women’s 2012 Young Professional program. Through this program I attended four Saturday sessions to learn how to sharpen my business skills to become more successful. My participation was just the push I needed to finish some projects I had put aside. I have reinstated my insurance license and working on my own part time business through Primerica. In my spare time I’m volunteering with a local business in Espanola, to help other professional women grow their businesses. Next year I plan to attend  the program again and I will give you an update on my projects! My goal is to be your 2013 young professional of the year!

Sincerely,

Francelia Martinez

Professional Business Women New Mexico

Message from Michael Anne Antonucci, President

March - 2014

Greetings!

As our 90th Anniversary comes to a close, it is a good time to reflect on our accomplishments this past year.  Our Santa Fe Business Women of the Year event was held during our Mid-Year Board in October and was a huge success.  Congratulations to Lynn Sanchez, the Santa Fe winner, and all of the other participants.  We also recognized several past Business Women of the Year recipients in attendance and presented a certificate of appreciation to NM Representative Brian Egolf for sponsoring the Fair Pay for Women Act which was signed into law by Governor Susanna Martinez last year.  PBWNM was also honored that U.S. Representative Ben Ray Lujan was able to attend and show his support for our organization.  PBWNM set up a booth in January at the Chamber of Commerce Legislative Reception.  This annual event is a great opportunity to reach out to potential new members and visit with our Senators and Representatives on important women's issues.

If you are not already a member, we invite you to become a member of one of our local chapters or a member at large.  Membership is open to all women and men who support our goals and objectives.  PBW membership facilitates connections, personal growth and professional success through networking and development programs and also helps build stronger communities through our fundraising efforts to offer scholarships, outreach to support causes such as Domestic Violence Awareness and support to women veterans in transition.

I am honored to serve a second term as your President and appreciate your confidence in me to lead PBWNM.  I hope that you will join me in supporting this organization and continuing our legacy of advocating for women's issues.

With Kindest Regards,

Michael Anne Antonucci
PBWNM President 2014-2015
