In alignment with the mission the Professional Business Women of New Mexico which supports the development of women, it is important to share with you their Young Professional Program. PBWNM.org likes to sponsor and spread the word on the value of young careerists.
The Young Professional Program recognizes the accomplishments of local, young, upcoming leaders while providing them the development skills and opportunities presented by local speakers currently in the workplace. To qualify as a nominee, one must be between the ages of 19 through 35 years old.
The candidates are allowed to nominate themselves or be referred by someone else. Either way, they will be judged equally and they encourage men and women to participate.
The Young Professional candidates are judged in the following areas:
- Resume and biographical information
- Interviews by the judges
- Ability to help others
- Group interaction
- Prepared speeches on specific topics
These young women and men benefit from this unique networking opportunity which offers high visibility early in their career. This program has helped develop and build professional bonds that help jump start careers early. Participants benefit by the opportunities to learn more about the issues concerning working women.
