Overview
In alignment with the mission of the Santa Fe Professional Business Women, the goals of the Young Professional Program are to provide professional development to young careerists, ages 19 thru 35; increase the visibility of our organization; and increase and retain membership of Santa Fe PBW.
The Santa Fe Professional Business Women’s (SFPBW) organization is pleased to invite you to nominate one of your employees, business associates, or yourself for its Young Professional program; eligibility criteria are defined on the attached form.
Every year we request candidates to provide information on the Nomination Form about your nominee or yourself.
We will work closely with you or your nominee to provide information about PBW programs, assistance in speech preparation, and information about the entire program.
All Young Professional candidates will be included in a special dinner meeting that invites all members, and business associates. Candidates , members and guests are encouraged to attend this honorary dinner to support all of the Young Professionals candidates. Program Details
Santa Fe PBW recognizes the accomplishments of young, upcoming leaders and provides them with professional development skills and opportunities. Participation in the program provides Young Professionals with the benefit of networking opportunities, opportunities for personal and professional development, opportunities to learn about the issues of concern to working women, educational programs and visibility.
Young Professional candidates are judged in the following areas:
— Resume and biographical information
— Judges’ interview
— Ability to help others achieve
— Group interaction
— Prepared speeches on specific topics
The next annual Young Professional Award Ceremony will be held first quarter of the in Santa Fe. The candidate selected to serve as the Santa Fe PBW Young Professional will represent the chapter at the PBW State Conference in second quarter of the year at different locations The winner of the State competition will serve as the Young Professional Representative for PBWNM and may attend functions in that official capacity, which includes speaking at the Annual State Conference.

Candidates may nominate themselves or have another person nominate them; both forms of nomination are judged equally.

Requirements for Participation in the Young Professional Program
Young Professional nominees must meet each of the following criteria:
— Female or male resident of Santa Fe County between the ages of 22 to 35
— Demonstrate excellence, creativity, initiative and integrity in her/his business or profession
— Be outstanding in scholastic work, community service
— Have been employed with at least one year of full-time work experience in her/his career area
